- Definir el concepto de Misión Social en aplicación a las Escuelas de Medicina de la región;
- Analizar los aspectos destacados del concepto de Misión Social y su relación con los principios éticos;
- Familiarizarse con indicadores potenciales para el monitoreo de la Misión Social y adaptarlos en función de su respectivo contexto.
Aplicabilidad educativa:
Breve comentario: Basado en la premisa de que la formación de personal de salud bien capacitado es uno de los requisitos para alcanzar la cobertura universal de salud se llevó a cabo en Manaos, Brasil, una reunión con el objetivo de:
- Construir un acuerdo para el monitoreo de la misión social de las escuelas de medicina.
- Definir los requisitos indispensables de los centros asistenciales comunitarios para realizar procesos de enseñanza y aprendizaje.
- Reconocer experiencias de aprendizaje exitosas en centros de atención de salud comunitarios en el primer nivel de atención
Propuesta de actividad: Luego de leer el texto - que incluye los lineamientos de la reunión y en particular la propuesta preliminar para la construcción de indicadores que permitan la medición del cumplimiento de la misión social seleccione por lo menos tres de ellos y valore en qué medida la Escuela de Medicina en la que desarrolla funciones cumple o está en vías de cumplir con esos indicadores.
Puede asimismo diseñar una matriz en la que se incluyan las actividades potenciales para alcanzar una mejor progresión de esos indicadores.
Facilitar la creación y consulta de definiciones, recursos o información en el Campus Virtual de la Salud, relacionados con la salud pública y la educación.

- Regarding the subject of the draft country, each country group will make a critical and analytical reading of the tensions and conflicts within and between states, their interests and actions of other international actors, assessing the implications and its effects on health;
- Regarding the issue of national project, each country group make a proposal on how they should intervenirse tensions, crises or conflicts in favor of achieving social justice and ensure the right to health.
